Last year I designed a couple postcards to promote my church’s annual cookout, this year I worked on new concepts for the cookout. Here’s what we ended up with:

Yesterday I finally upgraded to the latest release of WordPress, there’s a ton of new features on the back end, some of which I love and some of which I’m going to have to get used to. In honor of the new platform I’m working on a new theme – until then I’ve modified WordPress’s new default theme.
Oh, and I’m totally watching a documentary on Helvetica. My life is awesome.
Earlier today I was bidding on some jobs – one particularly was for a gaming website, the owners were looking for a new header. Now, I’d never done a header for a gaming site, and don’t regularly play video games – but I used to love Tomb Raider and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. This is what I ended up with as a sample:
